About This Spot

Sheila C's Burger Barn is the kind of down-to-earth, no-frills spot that feels like a well-worn favorite in Auburn’s local landscape. Nestled not far from the bustling university campus, it welcomes a mix of students, families, and longtime residents—all drawn here by the promise of hearty, satisfying burgers served without pretense. When you walk in, there’s a comforting hum to the place: the steady rhythm of orders being called out, the clatter of fries hitting trays, and a friendly familiarity among patrons and staff alike. It’s a casual, unhurried atmosphere where comfort and straightforward goodness take center stage.

The pace here moves just right—not rushed, but efficient enough to keep a steady flow on busy days, especially when the college crowd drops in between classes or after a game. The space itself doesn’t demand attention with flashy decor, but that only adds to the feeling of a treasured local haunt where the food does the talking. Practical seating and a lively buzz make it clear this is a gathering spot built around warm conversations and shared meals rather than aesthetics.

Much of the charm at Sheila C's lies in its menu’s simplicity and the pride in well-crafted classics. Burgers come piled generously and served with more than enough fries, a small but thoughtful gesture that speaks to the generous spirit of the kitchen. There’s a sense of straightforward, timeless satisfaction with every bite—a juicy patty, melting cheese, and just the right amount of bacon or toppings to hit familiar cravings with ease. Whether you opt for a double cheeseburger or a chicken tender sandwich, the focus remains on hearty, honest food that doesn’t demand fuss.

While the building shows its age, the warmth of the staff and the steady stream of returning guests reveal a deeper story—one of a place that’s more about people and moments than polish. It’s a stop where you come hungry and leave content, a spot that fits neatly into the rhythms of the Auburn community. Sheila C's quietly holds its own as a spot where the simple joy of a well-made burger carries a kind of loyal affection that’s hard to find these days.

I have heard so much hype about Sheila C's over the years, but my family finally tried it this weekend. The hype was legit. The burgers were huge, and they came with more than enough fries. Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. I will be returning to try the hot dogs, but I'm disappointed I didn't try this place sooner!

Sheila's has been around for a very long time, in various locations. I had asked GoOgle for a recommendation for a good local burger in town, and Sheila's was at the top of the list. Service was fast and friendly. The burger was totally awesome. The place is clean, but is looking worn out and run down. Sheila could use some help in that area...just sayin'.

Come hungry and leave happy. Don't let the outside fool you, it's not fancy and the menu is small. But, you won't care after the first bite of that burger. I would normally rate burgers in poor and normal categories; it's a burger. But this one is special. Nothing complicated, just a juicy patty made with love. You won't be disappointed.

Close to Auburn campus so heavy college traffic, both student and faculty as well as visitors. A great place to grab a bite if you're visiting the Vet Teaching Hospital, or anytime! Excellent food in a casual, comfortable atmosphere! Love the burgers! Real food, large portions, reasonable prices, and friendly staff!

I visited this burger place on a Friday night because it was higher recommended. The food was good, I wish the fries were different. Service was excellent and the restaurant is small but fits allot of customers in there comfortably.

My friend and I ordered a hamburger and another friend ordered a cheeseburger. All three of us were satisfied It's not a taste like another hamburger restaurant or a franchise restaurant, but it's a hamburger that really seems to have put effort into the ingredients one by one. It's really a handmade hamburger. The meat was fresh, too. I think this is the best hamburger restaurant in Auburn I am very satisfied with this restaurant's hamburgers. French fries are not stimulating either. So it seems to be even more delicious. The fries were fresh The atmosphere of the store is also likely to appear in the movie.

Never been here but it had a lot of reviews for this area so I thought I would give it a try. I almost missed it because it looks like a bit old, especially the parking lot. They are very old school, and I got one of the heaviest burgers I've ever ordered. It was honestly mid but it was still really good. Definitely would come again another time. It's also got weird hours for the summer it seems, so only Wednesday's through Saturdays.
